A Day in the Life of a Self-Employed Entepreneur

Wednesday 4th August 2021
I woke up at about 6am. Grabbed a coffee, and gave myself some quiet time to wake up. I then switched on my laptop to check out my Facebook business page and Instagram, scheduled some posts, and answered messages. Once done I took a shower put on one of my Safia dresses and got ready for a day of deliveries. My first delivery was with a young lady from Tarxien. She was scared of too much contact due to Covid so I reassure her that contact will be minimal and that dresses which had been tried before are put in quarantine. She tried the little black dress she wanted and she was very happy at how it hugged her in just the right places. As for me, I loved seeing her eyes brighten up. I happily headed to my second delivery at Qormi. A middle-aged bubbly woman opened the door. She tried the dress but it didn't fit and she felt disappointed. We chatted at the door and she was very funny and an amazing storyteller. I left there with a fuzzy feeling and grateful that I met such a beautiful person. Then I headed to Attard where a petit lady was overjoyed that the dress fit her perfectly because apparently, it's hard for her to find clothes that fit. That too went great. Then off to Naxxar where I delivered a flowy Safia skirt to a young lady, after which I headed to Pembroke to meet my aunt and her friend who wanted to check out some dresses. They tried clothes over comments and laughter. They both found a couple of items they loved, after which we sat down for a chat. By then it was 4pm and time for my last delivery at Floriana. Here I met an amazing old, wise lady who shared many touching stories. She purchased a long oriental-looking dress which fitted her energies perfectly. I was home at 6pm where I grabbed something to eat, updated the online shop, answered messages, and scheduled posts for the next day. At the end of the day, I sat down in my armchair by the balcony with a book and a cup of coffee, and a wistful and grateful feeling from my day of work.
